Daekyo announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies to expand nationwide implementation of the FLEX (Foreign Language Examination) and to strengthen business cooperation.

The signing ceremony was held on the 6th at the main building of HUFS Seoul campus. It was attended by Kim Min-hwan, Head of Daekyo’s Foreign Language Business Division, Park Jung-man, Head of the FLEX Center at HUFS, as well as officials from both organizations.

FLEX is a foreign language proficiency test developed and operated by HUFS. It is administered as a regular examination covering major foreign languages, including English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese.

Through this agreement, Daekyo and HUFS plan to maximize the operational efficiency of the FLEX exam and provide higher-quality services to test-takers.

The two organizations will also jointly promote the planning and introduction of a “Junior FLEX” test for children and adolescents. This initiative aims to increase motivation for foreign language learning among younger learners and strengthen achievement evaluation systems.

Daekyo has been expanding its foreign language assessment business based on its experience operating certification exams such as HSK and DELE, and has also been active in global exams like IELTS. With this agreement, the company will further expand its business into FLEX, strengthening its overall foreign language assessment portfolio.

A Daekyo representative stated, “Through this agreement, we have expanded the scope of our foreign language assessment business and secured a stable foundation for exam operations. We will continue to integrate various global language assessment programs with education services to provide learners with more structured evaluation and learning experiences.”
