Kangwon Deep Sea Water Wins Top Honor for Third Consecutive Year at 2025 ITI International Taste Awards

Kangwon Deep Sea Water, a marine deep-sea water specialist jointly established by Daekyo Group, Goseong County, and Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, announced on June 17 that its flagship product, "Chuncheon-dongan" (천년동안), has received the highest honor?3 Stars?at the 2025 ITI (International Taste Institute) International Taste Awards for the third consecutive year.

As a result, the product has also been awarded the Crystal Taste Award, a special honor given only to products that have achieved the 3-Star rating for three consecutive years, gaining international recognition for its exceptional quality.

The International Taste Institute (ITI), based in Brussels, Belgium, is a global organization that evaluates the taste of food and beverages. More than 250 taste experts from 20 countries participate in blind tastings to assess the products. The 3-Star rating is only awarded to products that score 90 points or more in the overall evaluation.

The award-winning Chuncheon-dongan is a premium deep-sea water product drawn from a depth of 605 meters off the coast of Goseong, located in the northernmost part of the East Sea in Gangwon. It contains a well-balanced 3:1:1 ratio of magnesium, calcium, and potassium, and boasts over eight times more natural minerals compared to regular bottled water.

The raw water is maintained at a low temperature below 2°C year-round, ensuring its purity and stability. It is sourced through the country’s only 6 km single intake pipe, which is free from external environmental influences, preserving the exceptional quality of the water.

In addition to this award, Chuncheon-dongan has earned various certifications and accolades, including: FSSC 22000 international food safety management system certification (2024), Approval by the U.S. FDA and IBWA (International Bottled Water Association), Top-grade certification from the Korea International Sommelier Association for six consecutive years
