Daekyo Newif Takes Steps to Support Dementia Prevention and Cognitive Improvement for Seniors in the Community
Daekyo Newif announced on the 19th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Cheonan City’s Seobuk Health Center and Cheonan Senior Citizens' Welfare Center to support cognitive enhancement and emotional management for seniors.
Through this agreement, the three organizations plan to implement initiatives such as:
Creating a dementia-friendly environment
Developing and educating group-based cognitive care programs
Providing instructor support and training service personnel
Offering customized cognitive enhancement programs for high-risk dementia seniors using welfare center services and tailored care for seniors.
Starting in March, Daekyo Newif will provide group-based training to strengthen cognitive abilities and assist with emotional management for seniors using the welfare center, using its self-developed "Brain Training Workbook." Additionally, the company will offer training for the welfare center's support staff on how to use the workbook, enabling them to visit seniors' homes and provide 1:1 customized education.
A representative from Daekyo Newif stated, "This agreement marks an important starting point to support dementia prevention and aid seniors struggling with mild cognitive impairment in Cheonan. We will continue to develop various service models tailored to regional characteristics and collaborate with local governments across the country to expand dementia prevention initiatives."
