The World Youth & Culture Foundation Holds 2022 Daekyo International Sculpture Symposium exhibition
The World Youth Culture Foundation announced on the 18th that it will hold an exhibition of "2022 Daekyo International Sculpture Symposium" works at the Ara Art Center in Insa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, until the 23rd.
The Daekyo International Sculpture Symposium is a culture and arts sponsorship project that has been carried out since 2000 by Young-joong Kang, chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, to discover and incubate new artists in the fine arts especially the sculpture.
11 artists from the world were selected prior to this exhibition, along with 11 assistant artists, have created large scale sculpture using various materials at the Crown Haitai Sculpture Studio in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, in July. "The World Youth Culture Foundation has been certified as Culture and Arts Meditor from Arko, and this year, it played a mediating role between new artists and sponsors with the support from the association," an official from the World Youth Culture Foundation said. "We will continue to attract sponsorship and contribute to the development of the sculpture arts sector so that new artists can be discovered in the sculpture field, which is an unpopular field among other fine arts."
