2019 Daekyo International 3D Symposium
On August 16, Daekyo Culture Foundation announced that it will be holding the 2019 Daekyo International 3D Symposium exhibition at Chung-Ang University until August 29.
Dr. Kang Young Joong (chairman of Daekyo Group, founder and chairman of the World Youth and Culture Foundation) attended the opening ceremony with Moon Yong-lin, chairman of Daekyo Culture Foundation, on August 14.
Daekyo International 3D Symposium is a cultural and arts sponsorship project to find unknown talented students in the sculpture field. Through a strict, impartial judging process, the foundation selects undergraduates and postgraduates students and offers place to exchange and communicate their view of art and the opportunity to create and display their work as well as.
In this year’s symposium, 10 national students and 2 overseas students from Turkey and Hong Kong were selected. These 12 students have been working on creating artworks using various materials such as stone, iron, wood, FRP (fiber reinforced plastic), and 3D printers since July.
“Daekyo International 3D Symposium is the only project in sculpture field in Korea that supports undergraduate and postgraduate students. It is a network place that participants can share their knowledge and philosophy in art field. We will continue our effort to support students in sculpture field to concentrated in creative activity and make their dreams come true.”, an official from Daekyo Culture Foundation said.
