Dr. Kang received the ‘19th Sang Huh Grand Award in Academic and Educational Area’

Dr. Kang received the ‘19th Sang Huh Grand Award in Academic and Educational Area’ followed by an Award Plate with a supplementary prize of 30 Million Korean Won ? This award presentation took place on May 27th 2009 in the New Millennium International Conference Hall of Konkuk University.

The judgment panel with Mr. Lee Uh Ryoung, the Chief Advisor of Joong-Ang Daily, as the chief of the panel, came with the following judgment.;

Dr. Kang established Daekyo in 1976. Since then, he devoted everything he’s got into the educational business for 33 years which brought his company to the first place in the educational industry and supported educational industry by starting the ‘Noonnoppi Educational Award’, not to mention establishing ‘Gyoung Gi Academy of Foreign Language’ for nurturing global ability people. So therefore, Dr. Kang was the chosen recipient.

This ‘Sang Huh’ Award was established in 1990 to pay a tribute to Dr. Yoo Seok Chang (Sang Huh) for establishing Konkuk University. This award is given to 6 different leaders who made the difference in social contribution: Academic/Educational, Medical, Agricultural, Law, Media, Culture/Art.
