Dreaming Snail Launches “Delicious Hangeul,” a Play-Based Korean Alphabet Workbook
Dreaming Snail, the early childhood education brand of Daekyo, announced on the 2nd that it has launched a new workbook titled “Delicious Hangeul,” designed to help young children learn the basics of the Korean alphabet through play.
“Delicious Hangeul” is a workbook based on a meal-kit concept. It structures learning around different weekly food themes such as fish-shaped bread and ice cream, and provides all necessary learning components for each stage. The key feature is that children can naturally learn Hangeul while enjoying playful, game-like activities.
The product is designed for children aged 4 to 7 and includes 10 workbooks, writing practice notebooks, vocabulary cards, a progress chart, and stickers. It follows a step-by-step structure that combines reading and writing, allowing children to gradually build foundational Hangeul skills.
In particular, the program focuses on helping children understand the structural principles of Hangeul, based on its creation system. Rather than rote memorization, it emphasizes understanding how consonants and vowels combine, enabling children to naturally develop reading and writing foundations.
It also follows a 10-week structure with six pages per day, helping reduce learning burden while encouraging consistent study habits. The progress chart allows children to track their learning, boosting a sense of achievement and maintaining motivation.
A Daekyo representative said, “By combining familiar food themes with a meal-kit concept, we designed this program so children can naturally experience Hangeul not as ‘study’ but as play and experience. We will continue to introduce diverse content that reflects children’s developmental stages and learning needs.”
