Daekyo Educamp announced that it has been selected for six consecutive years as a “Specialized Support Institution for Students with Borderline Intellectual Functioning” by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. As a result, it will continue operating a one-on-one customized learning support program for students with borderline intellectual functioning until February 2027.

Following this selection, Daekyo Educamp plans to strengthen its cooperation system with the Seoul Learning Diagnosis and Growth Center under the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to better support students with borderline intellectual functioning residing in Seoul.

Under the agreement, Daekyo Educamp will work with “Dream Mentor,” a specialized counseling organization for child psychology and slow learners, to provide comprehensive services including: ▲ support from professional staff such as clinical psychologists and cognitive learning specialists, ▲ personalized learning programs using its specialized education service “My Pace,” and ▲ psychological and emotional support services for holistic development.

Children receiving support will be able to visit the Dream Mentor counseling center located in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, to receive tailored education and counseling. For those unable to visit the center, mobile learning support services will also be provided, where professional counselors visit students at their schools.

In addition, the program will be operated based on cognitive and emotional development programs for children with borderline intellectual functioning developed by Professor Kim Dong-il’s research team at Seoul National University, as well as the “Growing Cognition” learning materials. These materials are expected to be further expanded and strengthened on April 5, covering from early childhood to middle school levels, enabling more specialized and effective cognitive and academic support.

A Daekyo Educamp representative stated, “Being selected for six consecutive years is meaningful as it confirms the importance of a professional and continuous support system for students with borderline intellectual functioning. We will continue to focus on developing customized content and training experts so that these students can adapt stably to school and daily life and fully realize their potential.”
