Gangwon Deep Sea Water Donates Scholarships for the Third Consecutive Year to Talented Youth in Arts and Sports in Goseong County

Gangwon Deep Sea Water, a marine deep-sea water company established jointly by the Daekyo Group, Goseong County, and Gangwon State, announced on the 4th that it held a scholarship donation ceremony for youth in Goseong County with talents in the arts and sports.

Gangwon Deep Sea Water has consistently supported the development of local talent by providing scholarships for three consecutive years, from 2024 through this year.

The donation ceremony, held on February 27 at the Goseong County Office, was attended by CEO Cheon Byung-soo of Gangwon Deep Sea Water and Goseong County Governor Ham Myung-jun, along with officials from both organizations, reaffirming their commitment to fostering local talent.

This scholarship was created to help local youth with talents in the arts and sports pursue their dreams in a stable environment. Three elementary, middle, and high school students selected through recommendations by Goseong County will each receive 300,000 KRW per month for one year, totaling 10.8 million KRW.

Cheon Byung-soo, CEO of Gangwon Deep Sea Water, said, “We hope this scholarship will help talented youth in the arts and sports, who will lead the future of Goseong County, fully realize their potential and move toward their goals. We will continue to carry out social contribution activities as a company that grows together with the local community.”

Meanwhile, Gangwon Deep Sea Water, together with Daekyo Group, has maintained a “one company?one village” partnership with Goseong County since 2011. The company has been actively engaging in various social contribution initiatives, including scholarships, book and learning support, and disaster relief efforts, practicing mutual growth with the local community.
