Daekyo Launches 'Noonnoppi Reading Fit,' a Digital English Reading Comprehension Program for Elementary Students
Daekyo announced on June 16 the launch of ‘Noonnoppi Reading Fit’, a new digital English reading comprehension program designed for upper elementary school students who are beginning formal English learning.
This newly released ‘Noonnoppi Reading Fit’ is a specially designed reading solution aimed at helping upper elementary learners who are starting English reading for the first time?as well as pre-middle school students transitioning to more advanced English?quickly acquire effective reading comprehension strategies.
The program eases the burden of long texts by breaking down each passage into multiple paragraphs, helping learners understand the context of each section through targeted questions. In particular, it supports structured reading practice by visualizing key information from the text, and it builds confidence through direct translation and immediate comprehension training.
Additionally, it offers explanations based on textual evidence, encouraging learners to develop the ability to solve inference-based questions independently. The program is structured with levels that consider both the learner's age and proficiency, based on the Lexile framework and word count standards?internationally recognized measures of reading ability.
‘Noonnoppi Reading Fit’ is available on tablet PCs through Daekyo’s offline learning channels, including Noonnoppi Learning Centers, Daekyo High Campus, Noonnoppi Study Rooms, and Noonnoppi YES Classes. To celebrate the launch, new members who sign up by June 30 will be entered into a prize draw for various rewards, including the latest tablet PCs.
A Daekyo representative stated,
“‘Noonnoppi Reading Fit’ helps beginners engage with English reading through a wide variety of texts?essays, narratives, expository passages?linked to curriculum topics. This not only enhances interest in reading but also builds background knowledge,” adding,
“We hope this new digital English reading comprehension program will serve as a stepping stone for learners to advance their English reading skills.”
