Daekyo Culture Foundation Announces Call for Nominations for the 34th “Noonnoppi Education Awards”

The Daekyo Culture Foundation has announced that it is accepting nominations for the 34th “Noonnoppi Education Awards” until June 30. These awards recognize dedicated educators who grow together with their students through teaching and learning in various fields of education.

Established in 1992 to contribute to the advancement of public education, the “Noonnoppi Education Awards” have honored 228 educators who exemplify the spirit of gyohak-sangjang (teaching and learning in harmony) and who are committed to true educational development.

For this 34th edition, five winners will be selected across a range of categories, including: Elementary schools, Middle and high schools, Kindergartens and childcare centers, Special education schools and institutions, Lifelong education organizations, Korean and local educators working overseas, Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria can submit a nomination. Nominations can be made through the Daekyo Culture Foundation's website or via the official social media campaign page titled “We Recommend Our Teacher.” Both nominators and nominees will receive small gifts of appreciation.

Winners will receive a certificate, a trophy, and a cash prize of 15 million KRW. In addition, the schools or institutions to which the winners belong will receive educational equipment worth 5 million KRW.

Applications must be submitted online. After a document review and on-site evaluations, the final winners will be announced in September. More details can be found on the Daekyo Culture Foundation's official website.
