Daekyo Educamp and Holt Children's Welfare Association Launch Support Program for Strengthening Youth Independence
Daekyo Educamp's counseling specialized institution, DreamMentor, announced on the 4th that it has begun a collaboration with Holt Children's Welfare Association to support the development of independence for youth living in facilities.
The "Parangsae, Spreading Wings Toward Dreams" program (hereafter referred to as the "Dreamnal" program) run by Holt Children's Welfare Association is designed to support youth living in group homes or child welfare facilities, helping them transition into stable independence after graduation. In this program, DreamMentor will serve as a professional counseling advisory institution, providing psychological assessments in the emotional domain and tailored counseling.
Through regular counseling over the course of one year, DreamMentor aims to support the healthy development of youth by assisting with emotion regulation, improving interpersonal relationships, and fostering a positive self-identity. The counselors at DreamMentor will provide practical help through a hybrid counseling system, combining both online and offline sessions, to ensure that youth receive effective support.
A representative from DreamMentor at Daekyo Educamp stated, "Through this support program, we hope the youth grow into 'good adults' and 'great adults' who contribute positively to society. We will continue to actively support their stable transition to independence."
Meanwhile, on March 29, Holt Children's Welfare Association held the 'Dreamnal' launch ceremony, where the youth gathered to share their dreams and aspirations and had a face-to-face meeting with counselors. They also had a chance to communicate with Kim Sung-min, the CEO of the social enterprise BrothersKeeper, who was invited as a speaker.
