Midas Valley Cheongpyeong Golf Club Wins Membership Category at Korea's Top 10 Golf Courses Awards
Midas Valley Cheongpyeong Golf Club, operated by Daekyo D&S, announced on the 12th that it won the membership category at the "Korea’s Top 10 Golf Courses" award ceremony held on the 11th at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.
Midas Valley was praised for its "nature-friendly course that instills a spirit of challenge," "a course resembling a beautiful Oriental painting," and its design that was described as "18 holes that feel like 27." The club was selected as one of the most preferred golf courses by golfers.
The evaluation involved more than 550 golf courses nationwide, with the top 7 courses in each region (49 in total) being selected, and 10 membership courses and 10 public courses making it to the final list. A panel of 52 golf experts, including former and current golf course managers, professional golfers, and golf course designers, evaluated the courses based on 10 detailed criteria, with scores given out of 5 points.
The evaluation criteria included the course's suitability for testing skills across various aspects, fairness in course design offering multiple levels of play, aesthetics, course maintenance, safety, rhythm, tradition and contribution, professionalism and service, clubhouse quality, and reputation/feedback.
