The World Youth & Culture Foundation Opens the exhibition for 2021 Daekyo International Sculpture Symposium artists
The World Youth & Culture Foundation announced that it holds an exhibition of sculptures for the 2021 Daekyo International Sculpture Symposium artists at Dream Gallery at the Dream Forest Art Center in North Seoul until the 7th.
Daekyo International Sculpture Symposium is a culture and arts sponsorship project that the World Youth & Culture Foundation has been conducting since 2000 to discover new artists in the field of sculpture.
This year, the 10 selected sculptors have created sculptures at Crown Haitai Sculpture Studio using materials such as stone, steel, and wood.
At this year's event, Jae-won Hwang won the Award from Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea, while Chi-hyun Lee (Sungshin Women's University), Bae Hyun-woo (Chung-Ang University), and Maeng Kook-ho (Dankook University) each won the Guayeo Award (by Hyun-Kyun Shin), the Cheonggang Award (by Sang-An Lee), and the Matsuo Friendship Award (Chairman of Japan's Gibi System), respectively.
An official from the World Youth Culture Foundation said, "We will hold this exhibition to support young and talented artists to encourage their dreams and hopes in a tough year due to COVID-19."
