1st Daekyo Eye Level Int’l College Student Sculpture Symposium

The exhibition for ‘1st Daekyo Eye Level Int’l College Student Sculpture Symposium’ that Daekyo Cultural Foundation organize will be held from 24th August till 7th September 2012 in Sungshin Women’s Univ.

This Symposium and exhibition is designed to encourage the will of creation for all the art students in the world. Daekyo Cultural Foundation received recommendation letter from universities in the nation and overseas and after taking strict screening, 12 students from Korea, UK, Japan, Taiwan, China and Indonesia were finally selected.
These selected students visited Korea from August 8 till August 22nd to complete their sculpture and had time to share their philosophy of art and the stream of sculpture in their own country.

Meanwhile, Kang Young Joong, the Chief Director of Daekyo Culture Foundation visited the opening ceremony for Exhibition which was held in Sungshin Women’s University and celebrated the opening.

At his speech, Chief Director Kang, Young Joong said “I hope this year’s symposium will serve as a momentum to give strength and courage to young fellows who walk in art which is not an easy way. Daekyo culture foundation will work steadily and not spare efforts to encourage the will to create art for art students in the world.”
