The 19th ‘Eye Level Children’s Literature Award’

‘Eye Level Children’s Literature Award’ was created in 1993 and has been presented every year since then in order to identify exemplary literary works for children that can give dreams and hopes to children, and to boost creative activities.

This year’s award, which was hosted by Daekyo Cultural Foundation (Chairman Kang, Young Joong) and sponsored by Korea Children’s Story Writers Association, Korea Children’s Verse Society and InterPark, was divided into two different groups which are ‘children’s literature award’ (for both established writers and new writers) and ‘children’s verse’ (for children and schools).

Kim, Sae Ho and 3 people were selected as recipients in ‘children’s literature award’ sector and Jo, Bum Jin (Ulsan Moonsu branch school) won the grand prize of ‘children’s verse’ sector.

“With the belief to inculcate the dreams and hopes to the child who are our future, I will make further effort for the development of children’s literature.” said Chairman Dr. Kang, Young Joong.
