Daekyo Cultulral Foundation, “20th Eye Level Education Awards”

The 20th Eye Level educational award ceremony was held at Hanmaum Hall of Noonnoppi Boramae Center on November 29th, 2011.

President Kang, Young Joong of Daekyo cultural foundation created this award ceremony with his intention of establishing true means of education and to boost morale of teachers as well as to praise those teachers who are working hard with sense of duty for the education of children at frontline.

In particular, this year marks the twentieth anniversary of the Eye Level Education Awards and it added special value by establishing Global Education sector and Mary Connor (President of Korea Academy for Educators) and Professor Christine Bachrun (University of Indonesia) selected as the first winners of this section.

Daekyo Cultural Foundation selected 10 winners at 7 different sectors which are Primary School sector, Middle-School sector, Special Education sector, Child Education sector, Lifelong Education sector, Overseas Education sector and Global Education sector.

A certification of merit, a plaque and 20 million Won were awarded to each winner.

It was a very meaningful ceremony as it reminded people the importance of education and provided recognition on that there are still many teachers who are trying to teach students no matter when, where and what takes.
