5th Youth Hero
Korea Scout Association led by President Kang, Young-joong (Chairman of Daekyo Co.) hosted the “Youth Hero Prize” award ceremony on October 24, 2011 at National Museum of Korea. The Prize was founded in 2007 in order to find young Koreans who will lead the country in the 21st Century.
The awardees of this year are Kim Yoon-Sung (Korean Minjok Leadership Academy, 18 years old) who won the first prize in engineering category at International Science Expo 2011, Jo Won-Woo (Busan Physical Education High School, 17 years old) who won the first gold medal in Asia at World Youth yacht games, Nam Hyung-Jong (Chosun University, 21 years) who has been doing voluntary service for 2,494 hours and Kang Cash (Seoul University, 18 years old) who represented Bulgaria in World Latin Olympiad 2010
Since 2007 the Korea Scout Association selects and awards certificates, medals and 5 million won prize money to talented young people every year.
President Kang attended the Youth Hero Prize Award Ceremony and congratulated the winners together with many distinguished guests from home and abroad.
