27nd International Agoonoree
President Dr. Kang attended the opening ceremony of 27nd International Agoonoree which was held at Gyeonggi English Village Yangpyeong Camp on June 24 to welcome the youth from both nation and overseas.
At this 27nd Agoonoree, which celebraed 30 years of ‘international disabled people’, total 1500 attended include 900 disabled youth (including from overseas), 200 leaders and operation staffs and 400 visitors.
The Agoonoree operated under the motto “U+I=WE CAN DO IT!” and various activities and scout program will be conducted such as block masonry, parachute and UNICEF.
Through this international event, disabled and non-disabled of both nation and overseas friends had opportunity to build friendship and feel achievement. Those people who visited Korea had time to experience Korean culture directly by looking around Kyungbok Palace and Namdaemun Market.
Since 1985, Korea Scout Association has been conducted Agoonoree together with Girl Scouts Korea to provide the opportunity of Experience Program and to increase human right of disabled friends.
