President Kang, Young-joong participated in the 23rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference and the 6th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Youth Forum.
President Kang, Young-joong visited Malaysia from October 26 to 29 in order to participate in the 23rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference and the 6th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Youth Forum.
The APR Scout Committee, of which 26 states in the region including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia and Indonesia are members, has 12 members who are elected to one six-year term and carry out scout policies and activities in the region. During the election this year, there were seven candidates from Nepal, Indonesia, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Korea for five vacancies, and Shim Sang-ho from Korea was among those who won.
President Kang awarded the International Friendship Award to some of the scout members from all over the world and expressed his commitment to help create a scout that contributes to realizing children’s dream across the globe.
In addition, having been recognized his contribution for the development of scout in the region, he received a gold membership and received a plaque of appreciation from Abdullah Rasheed, Regional Director for World Scout Bureau..
