Dr. Kang, appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador of Suncheon City

Dr. Young-Joong Kang has been aoppointed as the Goodwill Ambassador of Suncheon City, the ecological city in Korea during the fesitval.

--Sucheon Environment Declaration at International Youth Festival--
Inter-event Program is an event organized by the conference host country for young Scouts who participate at the World Scout Youth Forum will go to the World Scout Conference. This year, the inter-event program has titled as 'International Youth Festival' in Sucheon City in 10-13 July 2008. The Korea Scout Association organized the event with UN Evironment Programme National Committee for the Republic of Korea and Suncheon City.

With the theme 'Clean up the World', more than 500 participants including youth forum participants and university students from all over Korea joined the program. Main programs are related with current envirnmental issues includign climate s-global warming, land devastation, water conservation, and recycling. Participants continously had exciting discussions, and finally they had a pation of 'Suncheon Declaration.'

In the line of environmental issues, the participants had the environmental and cultural tour around the Suncheon City such as Suncheon Bay, Nagan'eupseong Castle, and Songgwangsa
