Chairman of Bongam Academy, Kang Young-joong School Corporation, National Order of Merit, Mugunghwa Order of Merit

Chairman Kang, Young-Joong of Bongam Institute, a school corporation that operates Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Language, was awarded the Mugunghwa Medal of the National Order of Merit.

The National Order of Merit is to be awarded to whom contributes to the improvement of the welfare of the people and the development of the country in politics, economy, society, education, and academic fields.

Chairman Kang was honored for his contribution to educational development as the chairman of Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Language.

Chairman Kang has his best interest in the education field and in order to develop the education, he has continued to provide and develop various scholarships, educational support, cultural activities, scholar support projects, multicultural families, sports activities, and social service activities through the Daekyo Culture Foundation.

The Eye Level Education Award, established in 1995, contributed to the development of education, including the regain of teacher’s authority for 33 years.

Chairman Kang was awarded the Mugunghwa Medal of the National Order of Merit following the Presidential Commendation of Distinguished Service in the Year of the World Family in 1995 and the Okgwan of the Order of Culture in 2004.
