21st Eye Level Children’s Literature Award
Daekyo Culture Foundation (Chairman Dr. Kang Young Joong) opened ‘The 21st Eye Level Children’s Literature Award’ in Daekyo Tower and presented plaques with prize money to 13 winners include Yozaf Mohammad (Indonesia).
‘Eye Level Children’s Literature Award’ was created in 1993 and has been presented every year since then in order to identify exemplary literary works for children that can give dreams and hopes to children, and to boost creative activities.
It is a content that discover original and characterful childeren’s story and picture book and find talented new writers to provide opportunity to start their literary career. In this year’s contest, the contest was held in 7 different nations include Korea, USA, Hong Kong and Indonesia at the same time.
The award was divided into two different groups which was ‘children’s literature award’ and children’s verse (for children and schools).
In ‘Children’s Literature Award’ section, 7 national and international winners were chosen.
Chairman of Daekyo Culture Foundation, Dr. Kang Young Joong, said “Book gives dreams and give direction to constant challenge. I wish those writers who started their literature career through this contest will create impression and hope to children.”
