Eye Level Global Education Forum 2013

Daekyo Culture Foundation and World Youtn & Culture Foundation opened ‘Global Education Forum 2013’ at Eye Level Hall on Nov. 14th.

Around 200 people in the education world attended include Chairman of Daekyo, No.1 Education Company in the nation, Dr. Kang and the President of the Korean Federation of Teachers’ Association, Mr. Ahn attended this Forum. Especially, Mr. Ahn showed enthusiasm by attending Global Forum for two years in a row.

The forum started with key note address by Professor Klaus K. Urban (University of Hannover), former President of The World Council for Gifted and Talented. With subject of ‘from creative to responsible createlligence as future competence: integrative approaches’, Professor Urban suggested educational model to nurture and develop creative intelligence which is the key factor for future talented.

At the main session, Principal of Chadwick International Middle School, Mr. Craig Williamson and Principal of Pohang Jecheol Elementary School, Mr. Donggu Shin delivered speech with subject of efforts and challenges for training creative convergence talents.

Panel discussion was followed and they had chance to share educational cases of nurturing creative and convergence type of talents and in-depth discussions on direction of our future education can be done. Through panel discussion, Professor Urban emphasized the importance of keen interest and formation of sympathy for improvement of creativity.
Chariman of Daekyo Culture Foundation, Dr. Kang said “I am very pleased to have invited educational experts from in and around the country to discuss creative and convergence type of raising talents which is the hottest agenda in education. I hope the forum can be an opportunity for everyone here today to picture the future of creative and convergence education and apply it to education settings.
