President Dr. Kang visited Taipei for BWF World Junior Championships
President Dr. Kang, Young Joong of Badminton World Federation visited Taipei to attend BWF World Junior Championships and had chance to see future stars.
BWF World Junior Championships, which is the one of signature event in BWF calendar, was first held in Jakarta in 1992 and this year, young players from 36 countries participated and showed outstanding performance.
This year was also special in the sense as we have new trophies for individual events, the Eye Level Cups.
Daekyo, a global education service provide which specializes a unique “eye-level” teaching programme that emphasizes on self-paced study that caters to the capabilities of each student, produced this “Eye Level Cups” and donated to BWF.
The trophy was born as President Dr. Kang suggested providing meaningful award even in Junior Championships in order to encourage our young players.
The BWF office in Malaysia will keep the trophy for next 10 years and the winner’s country and name will be permanently engraved at its decagonal bottom part.
For individual events, young athletes’ from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Korea received the honor to raise the trophies.
