President Dr. Kang, Young Joong visited Qingdao, China for the BWF Forum, AGM and Council meetings

President Dr. Kang, Young Joong attended the 2011 BWF forum, AGM and Council meeting which were held in Qingdao, China from 26 May ~ 4 June.

Many MAs attended the first BWF forum which was held on 27th and had chance to exchange their ideas and opinions through various sessions that BWF had prepared such as BWF constitution, Badminton marketing, BWF school badminton program, Olympic solidarity, BWF strategy, Women’s Forum and so on.
Members were satisfied and they supported and responded positively to the first BWF forum. President Dr. Kang expressed his sincere appreciation to the council members and staffs who worked hard to organize and prepare the forum.

AGM provided a platform for the Council to show the Members how much work had been put in throughout 2010 and the Members unanimously supported all the proposals put forwarded at the AGM. It means that the Members are very supportive of the BWF Council. BWF Council gave assurance more transparency and clean governance in order to return Members’ support.

In spite of tight schedule, Dr. Kang graced the opening ceremony of Qingdao International Badminton Center and Sudirman Cup with his presence. He also extended congratulations to Wuhan City who selected as a host city for 2012 Thomas & Uber Cup via press conference.
