Visiting London to attend the SportAccord Convention

President Dr. Kang, Young Joong visited London to attend SportAccord Convention which was held from August 3rd till 8th.

SportAccord Convention is a big international sports event that various exhibitions, conferences and meetings among international sports organization such as IOC, GAISF, ASOIF, AIOWF etc. opens simultaneously.

This year’s convention included joint presentation from candidate city for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games which is known as Big-3 events together with Lausanne Technical Briefing in May and final presentation and election at 123rd IOC session which will be held in Durban, South Africa.

During this period, President Dr. Kang had meaningful discussion and friendly talk with Sir Craig Reedie and Rita Subowo who are IOC members, and people related to Peace & Sprts, CWG, and Badminton and so on to share ideas on how to improve and develop Sports and badminton.

Dr Kang attended the meeting with CGF and put forward strong wish to include Para-badminton in the Commonwealth Games program and he told this plan to Sir Phillip Craven (president of IPC), Sir Craig Reedie and Andrew Ryan and received positive feedback.
