Victor BWF Super Series Finals Taipei 2010
President Kang, Young-joong of the Badminton World Federation visited Taipei, Chinese Taipei on January 8th in order to attend the Victor BWF Super Series Finals TAIPEI 2010 that was held from January 5 to 9th.
It ended the year with the best eight men’s and women’s singles and doubles players, as well as mixed doubles players are invited to battle it out for top prize money of USD 500,000.
President Kang awarded the prize money and celebrated on those players who did their best to achieve their goals.
Together with BWF council members’, President Kang also invited to a dinner hosted by Mr. Cheng of Chinese Taipei Badminton Association to celebrate successful open of SS finals. The dinner was a meaningful occasion where all the badminton family from around the globe gathered to further develop badminton and bond relationship among each others.
On Sunday, President Kang presented the BWF Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr Wu Wen-Ta, the former Chinese Taipei Badminton Association President and also well known for founder of Morning, at the finals of the VICTOR BWF Super Series Finals, for his contribution to the development of badminton.
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) Lifetime Achievement Award is a prestigious award given by the BWF to recognize individuals who have made a significant and lifetime contribution towards the advancement and promotion of the sport worldwide.
