President Kang Visits the First IBAD World Championship in Korea

The 2009 IBAD World Championship will begin its journey on the 7th for six days in the Fencing Gymnasium of Seoul Olympic Park.

The IBAD World Championship, which is being held once every two years, is being held for the third time. And it is the first time for Korea to host this event.

President of BWF, Kang, Young-joong said, “a truly advanced society is the society where people regardless of their physical conditions can lead their lives equally. We need to build a healthy world where people can enjoy a variety of sports more easily.” He also expressed his respect for the strong will and the “can-do spirit” of the disabled people.

President Kang paid visit to the prize awarding ceremony on the 11th and awarded athletes who did an excellent job in the championships.
