Korean Female Football Players Move into Europe for the First Time

Park, Hee-yeong and Cha, Yeon-hee of Daekyo Kangaroos Women’s Football Club will go to a European football club for the first time in Korea.

The two players signed a contract on April 2nd, 2009 to join SC Bad Neuenahr of the German Bundes Liga.

Chairman of Daekyo, Dr. Kang, Young-joong said, “I was happy to approve the decision to send them to Germany because it could serve as good opportunity to further develop women’s football in Korea.” “These two players can become wonderful role models, and it could help increase the number of female football players in the future,” he added, encouraging the two players whose new journeys are about to begin.
