‘Fajr International Badminton Tournament’ in Tehran Iran

On February 4th 2009, Dr. Young Joong Kang, the President of Badminton World Federation, had visited ‘Fajr International Badminton Tournament’ in Tehran Iran to encourage the staffs, organizers and the players. This tournament could have been the first administrative task by the new Obama administration but did not succeed as the women’s U.S. team did not receive their Iranian Visas in Dubai U.A.E.

“It did not happen this time but I’m sure we will have another opportunity like this soon that can function as the friendly party that can bring the Iran and the U.S. together through our sport” said Kang.
