2008 Macau Open has begun by holding its opening ceremony on September 29th of 2008 in Macau Tower, Macau.

Dr. Young Joong Kang, the president of Badminton World Federation (BWF), has joined the ceremony to encourage the players to put their best effort into the competition.

Macau Open 2008 had its final match on October 5th, 2008
