Dr. Kang visited Europe, Africa and Asia

The president of Badminton World Federation, Dr. Young Joong Kang, visited Europe, Africa and Asia to attend the European Men’s and Women’s Championship and Thomas & Uber Cup Preliminary rounds from February 15th through February 26th of 2008.

Starting with the Europe in the city of Almere, Netherlands, the European Men’s and Women’s Team Championship was held between 12th through 17th of February. Dr. Kang attended the event and watched the game on 16th and 17th. On the final day, Dr. Kang also participated as the award presenter, together with the president of Badminton Europe, for the Women’s Team Gold Medal.

And then his trip was followed by the Thomas & Uber Cup preliminary round which was held in Mauritius between 17th through 23rd of February. There, Dr. Kang again participated as the award presenter for the first place winning team.

The trip continued to Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam where Asian preliminary rounds of Thomas & Uber cup was being held between 19th through 24th of February. Dr. Kang visited the stadium to encourage players and staffs of the event.
