Founded in 1976, Daekyo has become a household name in Korea. We offer early childhood education, individual tutoring, and home schooling to students in primary and middle school. Daekyo also publishes teaching materials in the Korean and English languages, offer online education programs, and operate a variety of education institutes. Our corporate philosophy is simple: Children can excel if given proper guidance and in particular if they are taught where they feel most comfortable: in the privacy of their own homes.
Daekyo started with the belief that children deserve a better education than is available through the national education system in Korea and other countries. Children also thrive when they receive personal attention from teachers. In the Daekyo system, professional teachers make home visits and teach kids one-on-one. Through tailored home visits, instructors learn exactly what each child needs to excel.
One of Daekyo's corporate mottos is to leave no child behind, which is why the group has invested significantly in developing specialized teaching materials for mathematics at all levels. As of this year, 2.3 million children in Korea were enrolled in our educational program. An estimated one in three Koreans born after 1970 has registered for the group's one-on-one tutorial courses in math and science. Providing each child with care and attention in tuition is Daekyo's teaching staff, which has grown to 18,000.
In the decades since Daekyo was founded in 1976, the company has developed a wide range of tutorial materials as it attracts an ever growing number of students. It set up a research center where professional staff members develop tutorial materials that are most effective in helping children develop critical problem-solving skills and enhancing creativity.
Now Daekyo is taking its unique system of home schooling overseas. E.nopi is Daekyo's global brand. Teaching materials and teacher-training programs are being redesigned to suit the needs of other countries including China, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Daekyo is the flagship company of the Daekyo Group. Its subsidiaries and affiliates include a cable television program provider for children. |
